What is electropolishing, why do we do it?
Electropolishing stainless steel offers several benefits, making it a critical process in various industries:
- Corrosion Resistance: Electropolishing restores the natural corrosion resistance of stainless steel. By removing surface imperfections and enhancing the chromium/nickel content, it dramatically improves the material’s ability to resist corrosion
- Surface Finish: The process results in a smooth, shiny surface finish. It reduces surface roughness by up to 50%, making stainless steel parts aesthetically pleasing and easier to clean and sterilize.
Applications:
- Medical Industry: Electropolished stainless steel is commonly used for surgical instruments, implants, and medical devices.
- Aerospace: It enhances components’ durability and performance.
- Troopy products: Troopy products that will out last the vehicle. When you find a Troopy rusted out in the outback, there will be a shinny Electropolished product left behind.
